The customer said it was cleaned by someone else and has lost it shape, which was round.  The dimensions of the rug are now 105 X 90.  The rug looks like it is either needle point or hand wooven.  My questions are:  Is there any way to take it back to its original form?  Would it also help if I trim the fray's?  Or is this rug to delicate to do this too?  I am going to have to post 4 other pictures which I can't do on here so the first picture is with this message.

Yes

how it was washed by chemicals solvents ? dried by heat ( hot air !

The central design of trellies is a perfect circle so I accept that it was round

be sure about the canvas material - be sure it is not a plastic canvas

in China it is made of hemp canvas for rugs (stiffer than linen).

after you are sure it is hemp  cut the stitches of the folded border (first take away the backing if there is one)

design a round circle on a piece of flat wood bigger than the size of 140x140 cm(you can cover by plastic the wood surface)
and prepare lots of small nails(2 cm is okay) and a hammer
now nail the rug face down (it is very flexible, after you are done, wet the back of the rug and wait til it is dry

try to nail the border of the design close to the line of the circle( you can easiley find the size of the diameter of the original round rug)

count from the center of trellies 10 mesh=one inch

then sew the border and it is a perfect circle!

good luck
